Wiseness

It is said that
Every day you get a little wiser.

Every day
I get a little older,
And I know more stuff,
But I don’t feel wise
At all.

I thought wise was when you know
all the secrets
and knowledge there is to know.
But
Every day
in my wiseness
All I get to know
Is the expanse of my ignorance
And the bliss that came with it.

Wiseness, I think,
Is not when you know.
Wiseness is
The feeling lodged in your throat–
The heart skipping a beat–
The hot tears flushing your cheeks–
Perhaps wiseness is simply
When you know what you don’t know you know
The realization of knowing that you don’t know.

is this graded on a bell curve?

I was right about cul-de-sacs. I was right about cul-de-sacs and the cold and time. I was right about the future(even as it sets in as the gentle present), and love(even the absence of it), and loss and whatever you call the feeling in between (purgatory?). I was right on question #22 (the open ended one), and right some few other times. And although I am not right much,

How gratifying it is to be right when I was just as likely to be wrong.
